NOTES
Inspired by their love of Arabia, multi-nominated and International award winning Arabic fusion artists Rabaz (aka Paul Myer Hopkins) and Shadia (aka Amanda Lee Falkenberg) have channeled their creative energies into their first collaborative album, Arabian Riviera.

In 2012 Rabaz (Hopkins) and Shadia (Falkenberg) have received an impressive 5 nominations between them at the prestigious Hollywood’s Music in Media Awards in Los Angeles.

No stranger to the chill out scene, Rabaz’s (Hopkins) chilled grooves have recently appeared on Ministry of Sound, Desert Lounge, and Arabian Nights CD compilations just to name a few.

As owners of the Dubai based company Music HF, www.musichf.com , they have scored music for feature films, international animation series, documentaries and independent films.

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the UAE national day in 2011, Shadia (Falkenberg) was commissioned to arrange and orchestrate a Bedoiun’s poem sung in Arabic for a music video “Labeih” that was filmed at the Arabian inspired Al Ain fort. In 2012 this piece will be performed live with full orchestra and choir for the UAE national day.

Having lived in the Middle East collectively for over 30 years, they take the opportunity to blend their musical talents with the backdrop of the Middle East to present this classy album of chic and chill-out Arabic fusion tracks – A cocktail of Chilled grooves.

From the Persian gulf to the Mediterranean seas, whether sailing on a Dhow or sunning on the beach, put your feet up, grab a glass and lose yourself in the exotic and intoxicating charms of the Arabian Riviera Vol. 1.
